The volunteer team, which included anaesthetist Dr Zul Hanafiah from the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, spent two weeks performing reconstructive hand surgery for old injuries at the Holy Spirit Hospital, a Catholic hospital in the Northern region of Sierra Leone.
