“Whiskers, Wags, and Wine” Fundraiser to Help Furry Victims of Abuse, Neglect and Now Hurricane Sandy
Little Silver, New Jersey 5th April, 2013 - Homeless animals have it tough even in the best of times, but the far reaching impact and devastation caused by hurricane Sandy has made things much worse for both people and pets in the North East. This year so many poor animals were displaced by the havoc of hurricane Sandy that there is a greater need of support than ever.
The recent news of 5 four-week-old kittens which were found in bin bags in White City, West London has highlighted the increasing importance of animal charities. The kittens were discovered abandoned in an open box, in the bins of a housing estate in the Westbourne Park area. Unfortunately this is just one story in an increasing numbers of similar incidences that have occurred in the capital and animal rescue centres across the UK are trying to help pets, like these,find caring, new homes.
