Final Spot on 2012 Olympic Wrestling Team To Be Determined Live In Times Square On June 7

Shawn Bunch, Reece Humphrey and Coleman Scott will battle in an U.S. Olympic Team Wrestle-off at 60 kg in New York City as an add-on to USA-Russia "Grapple In The Apple" event in Times Square.

The U.S. Olympic Team Wrestle-off for the 60 kg/132 lbs. position on the U.S. Olympic Team in men’s freestyle wrestling will be held in New York City on Thursday, June 7.

The event will be held alongside the USA vs. Russia international freestyle dual meet set for Times Square in New York City, also on Thursday, June 7.

Three wrestlers will participate in the U.S. Olympic Team Wrestle-off:

· Shawn Bunch, Columbus, Ohio (Gator WC)
· Reece Humphrey, Columbus, Ohio (New York AC)

USA Wrestling and Beat the Streets Wrestling, Inc. has announced that a team of talented athletes from World champion Russia will face the U.S. Olympians who will represent our nation in the London Games in Duffy Square in New York’s Times Square on Thursday, June 7.

USA International Wrestling Returns Outdoors In Times Square on June 7 at Beat the Streets Gala

Freestyle Team USA for the London Games will be showcased at “Crossroads of the World,” an outdoor international wrestling event in New York's Times Square against a top foreign competitor on June 7.

“Beat The Streets,” the New York City-based not-for-profit organization that has brought wrestling to thousands of middle and high school students in New York City, along with USA Wrestling and the New York City Department of Education, today announced that for the second straight year, an international freestyle wrestling match featuring some of the world’s greatest Olympic-class wrestlers, will be held in Duffy Square in New York’s Times Square on Thursday, June 7.
