Invisco Chooses KPK to Test Whole House Fans to California Energy Commission Requirement
Temecula, CA January 5, 2012
Invisco Whole House Fan Company has entered into an agreement with KPK to have all 8 models of whole house fans tested to HVI-916. This testing will include added tests on the variations of each model.
Invisco supplies whole house fan systems that range from 1200 CFM up to 14,500 CFM in attic mounted configurations that are ductable to one room or to multiple rooms. As a result, Invisco has an infinite number of models to test. However, most homeowners prefer to duct to only 3 or 4 rooms, so it is expected that there will be 4 times 8 or 32 models tested.
Testing is expected to be done and selected models submitted to California in January 2012. The first to be released is the new IN10500 (10500 CFM) ducted system with four (4) 18 inch ducts. The state requires that all testing be done with all parts of the system in the test including the ceiling interface and the grille that covers the ceiling opening.
The IN10500 that is being tested has been built for a dealer in Brisbane, Australia in anticipation of opening up that market for high power whole house fan systems.
