Plus Size Model and Actress, Joann Fields Will Be on The Runway at the Silver Slippers Fall Fashion Show at Historic Sunset Station in San Antonio, Texas on December 4th (4:30pm – 10:00pm)
San Antonio, Texas – November 31, 2011 – Joann Fields a Plus size model and actress will be joining other models from around the world at the Silver Slippers Fall Fashion show wearing the latest wear in fashion with a fresh new multi-cultural looks for the fall. Fashion show to showcase full-figured diva’s with this bold new beautiful look. Joann recently appeared in commercials including, American Express, Verizon and Southwest Airlines.
Joann is an advocate for full-figured women and for fashions that create a positive self image for the plus size. As a size 14/16 most of her life, she understands the stigma and effect that body size has on a woman. Increasing promotions from leading fashion brands for thin and tall models created an impossible image. “Silver Slipper Fall Fashion Show will feature the rediscovery of the ‘plus size’, full-figured diva highlighting some of the most beautiful plus size clothing in the world. Some of the states represented include, California, Georgia, New York, Nevada and Texas.
“I enjoy doing runway modeling, so women can see that it doesn’t matter what your size or weight is and that you can be plus-size, sexy and love your look,” says Joann Fields, Plus-size Model, “You don’t have to conform to todays fashion body-type, you just have to love yourself and be the ‘most beautiful you’ you can be and love your curves!”
The show will be hosted by special celebrity guest, Chenese Lewis; a sought after keynote speaker, expert commentator and positive body image and self-esteem advocate. She is the first woman crowned Miss Plus America in 2003 and is the current President of the Hollywood Chapter of the National Organization for Women, the Ambassador of the Binge Eating Disorder Association (BEDA), and sits on the Celebrity Board of the non-profit organization Fed Up, Inc.
Featured designers and sponsors for the UBE Silver Slippers Fall Fashion Show include Lane Bryant, Bare Necessities, and Dressbarn. The show will also showcase a Texas-based, upcoming designer Damon Demond.
