President Ronald Reagan Portrait To Be Unveiled At The Women's National Republican Club

PressReleasePing - May 17, 2017 -New York, NY, May 17, 2017– A portrait of President Ronald Reagan, our 40th president, has been given on loan to The Women’s National Republican Club in New York from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute in Simi Valley, California. The watercolor painting of President Reagan was done by O.J. Watson and was presented to President Reagan during the late 1990s/early 2000s. The portrait will be unveiled at the annual President’s Tea on Thursday, May 18 at 5:30 p.m. The president of the Women’s National Republican Club, Robin Weaver, says, “The Club is extremely grateful to the Reagan Library for this beautiful painting of President Reagan. We look forward to placing the portrait in a prominent place where both members and guests of the Club can enjoy it.” The Women's National Republican Club is one of the oldest national clubs for Republican women and the only one to provide its members with a Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is owned by the Club's members, and the Club is a separate entity not officially or legally associated with any other organization, although its members work closely with the Republican Party. The Club provides its members with excellent dining and meeting facilities and guest rooms close to the center of cultural, civic, business and political activities in New York City. It has members from every state and the District of Columbia. # # # For additional information, please contact Louise Scrivines at 212.582.5454 x 2183 or email at Visit for additional club information.
